Kalkulator dawkowania Space Cake

Space cakes and cannabis edibles are processed differently by your body than smoking. THC is converted to 11-hydroxy-THC in your liver, producing stronger and longer-lasting effects. Getting the dosage right is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience. This calculator helps you determine exactly how much cannabis to use based on your strain, desired effect, and number of servings.

Calculate how much cannabis to use in your space cake or brownies. Enter your strain, THC%, servings, and tolerance for precise per-serving THC dosage with a step-by-step cannabutter guide.

How cannabis edibles work

When you eat cannabis, your liver converts THC into 11-hydroxy-THC, a more potent metabolite that crosses the blood-brain barrier more efficiently. This is why edibles feel 3-5 times stronger than smoking the same amount. The onset is slow (30-90 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours on a full stomach) because digestion takes time. Once the effects begin, they last 4-8 hours — much longer than smoking (1-3 hours). This delayed and amplified effect is why proper dosing is critical with edibles.

What is decarboxylation?

Raw cannabis contains THCa, an inactive precursor to THC. Decarboxylation is the process of heating cannabis to convert THCa into psychoactive THC. When you smoke, this happens instantly from the flame. For edibles, you need to do it in the oven first. The optimal temperature is 110°C (230°F) for 30-40 minutes. Going above 120°C (250°F) starts to degrade THC, reducing potency. Going too low or too short leaves THCa unconverted.

Safety guidelines for edibles

Start low, go slow — this is the golden rule of edibles. If it's your first time, take no more than 5mg THC and wait at least 2 hours before considering more. Never consume edibles on an empty stomach unless you want faster onset. Have a sober friend present for medium to high doses. Do not combine with alcohol — the effects multiply unpredictably. If you feel overwhelmed, remember: no one has ever died from cannabis alone. Find a safe comfortable space, drink water, and breathe. It will pass in 2-6 hours.

Frequently asked questions

How long do edibles take to kick in?
Typically 30-90 minutes, but it can take up to 2 hours on a full stomach. The most common mistake is re-dosing because you 'don't feel anything yet' — wait at least 2 hours before taking more.
Can you overdose on space cake?
Cannabis is not lethal — there are no known fatal overdoses. However, taking too much causes extreme discomfort: anxiety, paranoia, nausea, rapid heartbeat, and disorientation. These effects are temporary (2-6 hours) but very unpleasant. This is why proper dosing matters.
How do I store cannabutter?
Cannabutter keeps for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer. Store in an airtight container away from light. Label it clearly so others don't accidentally use it.
Why do edibles feel stronger than smoking?
When you eat THC, your liver converts it to 11-hydroxy-THC, which is 3-5 times more potent than regular THC and crosses the blood-brain barrier more easily. This metabolic conversion is why the same amount of THC feels much stronger when eaten than smoked.
What should I do if I took too much?
Stay calm — this is temporary and not dangerous. Find a safe, comfortable place. Drink water (not alcohol). Chew on some black peppercorns — they contain beta-caryophyllene which can help reduce anxiety. Breathe slowly and deeply. Call a trusted friend if you need reassurance. The intense effects will pass within 2-6 hours.
